The weather is soo humid it just makes me not want to do anything and i have lots to do. On Sunday we went to the car boot my favourite or of my favourite pastimes and i was so chuffed i got myself lots of clothes which is usually unheard of. I got some summer bits too for my youngest.
We have our holiday on Monday im so excited, i have just rang the school about my daughter getting permission to go on holiday and they have said she is not being granted official permission but it will go on her record as taken but not agreed by them as they know she is still going to go regardless. Do they really expect us to cancel the holiday beacause they have said she cant!!! Her attendance is 93% but she has to have 95% for it to be granted i think that is just plain silly from a child that has NEVER had any time off during term time for a holiday in her life but there you go.

We went to see my in laws after the car boot who i haven't seen in a little while as hubby tends to go with the little one. I took some pictures in there garden of some lovely flowers they had and im so pleased they turned out fantastic. My best set of pictures so far i think.
We went to see some friends too that we haven't seen for at least 6 months so it was nice to catch up.

When we get back from holiday we are planning on decorating the bathroom so my thinking cap is already on.

HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

The weather is so hot it makes you not want to do anything, well im here at this silly o'clock because i cant sleep and its even worse as hubby is roasting next to me and has to be up too in little over an hour for a drive to Edinburgh to do with work. I dont envy him 6hours of driving.

My little one went to pre school today so i had a nice few hours in town on my own and managed to get my older daughter some denim shorts and a vest top for our holiday which is very soon and also some new underwear, she was very pleased.

Ive been to Asda too today and discovered they have dresses in my size and they were very nice too, i was sooo close to buying a skirt too today but the last minute i changed my mind hahah. Anyone who knows me knows i NEVER wear skirts so its a rare treat but i still might go back and buy it lol.

Hubby came and met me in town and we went to fetch little one from pre school, hubby had trouble with a mini bus he has to deliver to Edinburgh the battery is knackered even using jump leads had no effect at all, at the last minute he managed to get a 2nd hand battery phew so he will be delivering today bless.

A near accident happened earlier today and scared the life out of me, i was on the phone to my brother and hubby said im going to fill the bus with fuel so off he went up the drive unbeknown to me little one followed him. I seen her at the last minute my husband hadn't noticed her either instead of going forward to the bus luckily she ran along side it or the consequences could of been disastrous. I was shaken for a while after.

While in Wales at the weekend my sister did me 2 star tattoos on my foot and they are fab but she was sooo nervous about doing then that that's as far as she got as i was having 4 to start with. Im so happy with them and cant wait till shes down and can do me some more. If i can persuade her too i would like to ahve another tattoo on my other foot even though its VERY painful haha.

Its Been a While!!!

Well its been a while i must say and i have thought 'shall i carry on with this or not' and i ve thought why not so here i am.
Ive been sorting gardens and rooms out, we have also been to a festival for a weekend which was fantastic and met some great people too. There was live music, mediation young kids break dancing, belly dancing roll on next year.
The weather has been fantastic too im a lovely golden brown now after much sunburn i must add.

We spent a weekend in Wales recently too visiting my mum and sister and had a great time the weather was gorgeous again. My husband threw my 14year old daughter in the sea she was not amused lol and had thoughts about getting me but it didnt happen lol.

My husband has won a few trophies too racing his nitro car and is well chuffed. He has been busy designing his new shell he got for his car i must say he has alot more patience that i have.

We have had the gas men re newing the pipes underground but they such a pain digging up right in the driveways and trucks and lorries and diggers etc blocking our little bit of road.

We are due to go away for 4 days soon to the Isle of Wight im so excited lol worse than the kids, once we are back its nose to the grind stone with the decorating of the bathroom.

Catching Up

Well would you believe it when i last wrote on here i said my mum and sis may visit on the Friday, later on that same night i was washing the dishes (oh the joys of being a housewife) and the front door burst open and there they were. I had tried getting hold of my mum on msn during the day no wonder she was'nt answering.
We went to see my 2 brothers on Friday for my mum and sis to catch up with them and as my brother does alot of wheeling dealing and had just bought alot of art and craft bits, my mums idea of heaven..
We arranged to go back on the Saturday too as he was due to bring more of the stuff back to his warehouse, he had ropped his his fiancee into helping him too and his little side kick we call fraggle.

The weather has been terrible so no car boot this week, also we had been scouring the net and found the gay pride of Birmingham so my mum and sister decided to go home early on the Sunday and come back on the Thursday of this week.

We had to take little one to the doctors as she was quite hot and her breathing was very fast and crackly, it turns out she has a chest infection they have given us a nebulizer and some steroid tablets for the next 3 days. I have since found out my mum has got it too and has not been too good.

Kids!!!!

The week just seems to have sped by i cant keep up, little one didnt go to pre school on Wednesday as she had a huge tantrum and then promptly fell asleep so there was no point waking her as she would of just been very grumpy.

Its been a nightmare this week with her 1 day she ate a whole packet of my flavoured rennies, then she stuffed a sultana up her nose. I started panicking cos it was quite a large 1 but luckily i managed to scoop it out.
Today she was continually rubbing her nose and i said to her "whats wrong" she said "balls" we have had some little polysterene balls floating around recently from an old beanbag and she had put some up her nose.
I blocked her other nostril off and told her to blow which she did and out shot 1 large ball and a little 1 then afterwards she said "all gone" then went on to have a fit of sneezing. Kids!!!!!!!

I receieved my letter from the hospital to inform me my smear test was normal that was a weight off my mind with everyhting in the news regarding Jade.

We went to toddler group today and ive never seen so many there at 1 time it was chaotic and lots of babies too which we dont usually have, we continued into town afterwards as we needed some filler and to pay some bills. Hubby met us at the library as i had got bored with my books usually Friday is my library day.

As its very close to finishing the living room i am now thinking about the bathroom and my daughters room. We will be getting the tiles weekly as we need so many and until we have them all we wont start on that room.
In the meanwhile i have asked my daughetr to think about how she would like her room, she is definite on the colours which will be 3 different blues.

I'm hoping my mum and sister come down tomorrow for a visit, they were going to last week but realised they were a bit short. So here's hoping they arrive tomorrow i will also have some company as hubby is racing his nitro cars on Sunday in a competition and will be gone all day.

Odd Jobs

The weather has been gorgeous today apart from a bit of wind, im not sure if i will get used to having time on my hands and you get used to having someone with you all the time, it was very strange walking up the road having dropped off little one to pre school, no changing bag no pushchair just me.

I read in the news today that Peter Andre and Katie Price have split i must say im shocked as i thought they were great together although i thought she was very bossy with him but they were a good couple.

We went to a new car boot for a change it was quarter of the size of our usual 1 much to my hbby glee i think. I bought a gorgeous brown chunky framed mirror just what i had been after, after cracking the glass we had cut for an old frame we had. It was a bargain at £6 the lady said she paid £60 for it ohh i do love a bargain.

The front room is having the last finishing touches added to it and i must say looks great and im really pleased with it. The skirting board holes need to be filled and a bit of paint done.
Over the weekend alot of little jobs that have been put off was done and they look great more homey now. The bookshelf i had for little ones room is now in place and so are her butterfly wings lol. We put up the table and bench we got from freecycle too which is for the garden and a storage tub. The shelves in the kitchen were finally put up too.

We discovered yesterday my older daughter had been using the home phone to ring her friends on there mobiles in the morning from our imtemised phone bill!!! Therefore she has had her mobile taken away and been grounded she is like a caged animal at the moment but im hoping she will of learnt her lesson.

Bank Holiday

Well it been a busy few days since i was last here, the living room is coming together nicely just a few odd bits here and there to finish and thats the room complete. It looks so nice i cant believe it. We also got some floating shelves £30 cheaper so that was good.
We didnt really do anything over Bank Holiday Monday.

My brother and 2 nephews came to visit from Devon it was nice to see them, we usually go and see them so it was nice they made the effort to come here for a change. They also came to the car boot and he was well chuffed he got a 2 man tent for a tenner.
My hubby has offered our services to the neighbours to look after there chickens while they are away so that should be fun hahah.
We met up with my other 2 brothers while my older 1 was down and had a carvery paid for us too, it was good all getting together they also brought there friends Mandy and Martin. They were 9 of us in total i love it when we catch up though as there is always so many of us.
We came home and one of my younger brothers was meeting his fiancee at our house as she was picking him up on the way home from a christening she had been to in Cardiff. She also had my younger brothers children with her Chloe and Ryan it was great to see them as its been quite a while.

Living Room

Sunday morning was car boot day and i may add the favourite day of the week for me, i went there set on hopefully finding a big pine chunk framed mirror. I didnt find it but i did get alot of bargains im pleased to say. The whole field was packed by the time we got there and people were still coming to look at 12.30 ish when we had finally got round the 14 aisles.

Monday we did more painting in the living room it makes such a difference just by the different colours and papers you use. It looks massive now and so clean. I took little one to pre school and her little school bag she loves it. The only problem is when she goes in the afternoon she does not get chance for a sleep in the day so therefore is a bit grotty when she finishes and it usually means an early night after trying to stop her falling asleep at the dinner table which can be very funny.

Tuesday i recieved a plant i asked for on freecycle she said it was a big one, well wow even i was not prepared for the shear size of it hahah i could just make out my hubby between the leaves as he carried it in hahah.

I cleaned and sprayed all the leaves and cut the brown dead bits of the ends of the leaves and its looking almost healthy now.

Wednesday hubby had his dentist appointment after having the day off yesterday thinking it was in the morning only to discover it was today (Weds) he made me and my daughter an appointment as im sure i ahve gum disease on the bottom of my mouth and its is swollena nd very painful sometimes.

We took little one to pre school then went off to town to have a look at flooring, if anyone knows us they know what we are like at making decisions. Im pleased to say though that we both chose 3 lots of laminate flooring we liked and then nailed it down and we bought it there and then. How about that miracles do happen now and again.

We covered our old what was cream sofa from Ikea with some old brown curtains we had and i must say they are looking fab.

Today we have been covering the second sofa and it is looking just as good as the first one, my hubby has been using my sewing machine to get the finishing look on it and i must say very impressive. Later will be the start of laying the laminate flooring and i cant wait. Its all coming together now and taking shape. I've been chatting to my mum on MSN and she said she will dare not sit on the sofa. Ive warned her no making any mess hahaha.

Wallpapering

My sister went home on Thursday after helping hubby out with some driving jobs, my one little cried her eyes out bless her but was back to her cheerful self once she was given a biscuit haha.
My older Daughter went to the fair with her friend last night (Friday) and thoroughly enjoyed herself.
I met her mum also and we discovered we both have a love for car boots.
Today hubby has been wallpapering the living room all day and i have been tea lady and keeping little one out from under his feet.
I must say just having the wallpaper up makes the room look bigger, we have just put up embossed paper and then we intend to paint it magnolia on all the walls except the chimney breast which will be painted Expresso Shot a nice chocolate brown colour i cant wait.
If the weather holds out then we are off to the car boot tomorrow too yippeee. My older daughter has gone to stay at her friends the night and little one in bed so all is peaceful on the home front.

Busy Bees

Its been a busy time since i wrote last so you'll have to forgive me. The Easter holidays are now over and oldest daughter is now back at school im pleased to say. We have had the wall plastered in the living room at long last and we are due to start the decorating this weekend i cant wait. My hubby plastered all the skirting board area so the boards have something to screw onto while i sanded the boards down and washed them with sugar soap all ready to be painted.
In the meantime we have also painted little ones room magnolia as that was all that needed doing to it and i have put her pictures up now there is just a nice little shelf unit to put up, which i bought from the car boot last week.

We were soo lucky and was on my pc at the right time, as someone was offering 50ish rolls of turf just what we needed so hubby went to fetch them. I nearly killed myself helping him to un load the van haha but it was very funny too, i just never realsied they were so heavy.
The turf has now been laid and looks great it makes such a difference, we are having to water it regularly as the sun is so hot at the moment.
I have been sitting in the garden reading alot too and have now been sunburnt and im so sore, my little one has loved being outdoors some much but made sure i smothered her in suncream as she is so pale.

My daughter has made a new friend Amy who im not too sure about but we will see, my daughter has been getting out more regular which i like to see in stead of being stuck in all the time, they went swimming on Sunday too.

My sister has been down for the last 3 days helping my hubby with some driving work, i must say i find it very strange as she usually comes down with my mum and Zac the dog but this time mum stayed at home as she is trying to get some craftwork done. My sis is really pleased about the work as it will give her some extra money but was a bit dubious about driving big mini buses compared to her little puegot 106 but she has been fine driving them apart from a little mishap hahah.

My little one started pre school today she went off fine and i was left high and dry but im glad she liked it, she just seems too small for pre school bless her. I had a lovely 2 hours no tv no noise just me and my book bliss.
I fetched little one at 3pm and we walked home and she cried the whole time because she wanted to stay there.

Easter Weekend

Not alot to say really we had an uneventful Saturday im pleased to say, we went to visit my hubbys mum as we had'nt seen them for a little while. Ml had done them an Easter picture too. All was well with them they had just finished decorating there kitchen yet again hahha.

Easter Sunday we had my son and his girlfriend over for dinner which was nice, they seem to be doing ok and they are looking forward to relocating areas although i will miss them, but its there choice.

Today we have been finishing the garden that has been dug, its been levelled and flattened and now looks totally different to when we first moved here. We still have a long way to go as that is only part of it.

My hubby has painted little ones room magnolia too as i ahve pictures to put up and stickers etc so we will choose a theme when she is a bit older.

The weather has been lovely all over Easter im pleased to say.

ML has got a bit of a cold and sounds like a frog haha with her croaky voice.

Hearing Aid Batteries

On Tuesday i had my driving test and failed im gutted but also happy that i only got 3 points so it will have to be done AGAIN. The realisation never really hit me until a few hours later and then i bawled my eyes out, its not much to ask is it i only want my freedom to come and go when i wish!!!!
Later the same evening i noticed my little one had been playing with my hearing aid batteries, i asked her where they were and to my horror she opened her mouth and pointed. I asked her if she had eaten them and she nodded i was gobsmacked and she knows that they are used in my ear. I had to call my hubby home from his race track to take us to the hospital, as i rang NHS direct and they had said to get her there asap.
Ml was taken for an xray after waiting hours to discover she had eaten 3 of them and they wanted her kept in overnight just so they could monitor her, hubby took me and the older daughter home at 2am we were shattered while my hubby returned to spend the night with little 1.

My hubby text me the following morning to say they were releasing her but we had to keep an eye out for the appearance of the batteries within the next 24 hours otherwise we had to take her back.
Well i can tell you they did arrive thank goodness but what a horrible messy job hahaha. Phew calm is restored for now!!!!!!!
Since this little accident we have now put a lock on our cleaning cupboard as a precaution.

I got ready to go to the library and sorted all my books arrived there to realise that its Good Friday and its closed today grrrrr.

My hubby has managed to borrow a flattener (not sure of the real name) to level the garden out now it has been dug, he went to get petrol for it and then decided it was going to pour with rain.
He is off now until Tuesday so i will have to find lots of little jobs for him to do otherwise i maybe sick of the sight of him by Tuesday (joking) but im not joking about the jobs hahah!!!!!!

We have sorted out the pc room which looks alot better now and also hubby must of thought he had the wrong house because i changed the living room around too it had been driving me mad, also next week we have the plasterers in at long last.

Antics

We went to toddler group albeit a bit late (Thursday) ML enjoyed it she even joined in with the singing which she does'nt normally she is really coming out of herself more with other kids its great to see. We popped to Asda for some bits for tea then went for the appointment at the pre school it went very well, although i discovered the appointment was for last week hahah opppss.
My 2 year old will be going twice a week after Easter a Monday from 1pm till 3pm and then Weds the same times, she was off playing as soon as we arrived so im sure she will have no problems.

I had a driving lesson on Saturday which went REALLY well simply beacause my instructor has finally realised a year or so of driving and 3 driving tests what im actually doing wrong, can you believe that!!!!!!!! My hubby and i went for a drive too so i could show him what i was on about and he has noticed how much smoother my driving is im sooo happy.

Sunday was car boot day the 1st one of the year and it was heaving by the time we arrived which was 8.15am and the field is huge too, i got some great bargains but not as much as i thought. The sun was shining so i was not complaining i even caught the sun on my face.
We got back home and rummaged through what we had bought. My daughter JR had her own money this time and bought herself some bits she was really chuffed. Little one went to bed for a few hours and i had a kip too while hubby went up the race track as they have the national races on there this week.
We went for a drive again tonight(Sunday) and ended up going to visit my son and his girlfriend who are doing very well.

Well my next driving test is on Tuesday and im quietly confident about it all and i cant wait im so excited. We are going for a drive later today (Monday) and im going to do a few manoveres just to be on the safe side hahha.
Wish me luck lol im sure i wont need it!!!!

Catch Up

Its been nearly a week since i last wrote something the days just seem to be flying by and its April already.
On Saturday we went and bought a new hose and the connectors for it my husband has now screwed it to the shed wall, i can see it bringing my 2year old hours of fun as i was watering the plants the same night she kept running in front of it and getting sprayed by the time i ahd finished watering the plants she was drenched lol. She will be in her glory come the summer hahha.

Monday the health visitor made an appointment with me to see my 2 year old for her check but never turned up i would of been mad if i had stayed in for the appointment but i still think that is bad that she never let me know she was not coming.
I also went for my smear test which i had been worried about especially with everything in the media about Jade R.I.P, i was also given what they call an MOT too my weight/height and blood pressure checked.

I made an appointment for a drivign lesson as its my test next week and my instructor has been away on holiday.
Today we have had the yearly gas check done too, that has set my mind at rest too.

Tomorrow i have an appointment at the local pre school for my little one they have said there will be a space available after Easter if we want, IF WE WANT IT of course haha.

Days

Not really been around much, been doing the usual stuff though, housework and going into town. I took my little one to toddler group ive also got an appointment for the pre school for her im so excited for her.

My older daughter has gone to stay at her brothers for the weekend, we went out for a meal as my hubby didnt get me much for Mothers Day and had a bout of the guilts haha.
The weather has been a hit and miss the last few days so the garden has come to a halt as well. My brother is hoping to visit during the Easter holidays so that will pass some time.
I also have my 4th driving test April 7th and this time it THE one im soo excited i cant wait to be on the road im not sure about everyone else though hahah.

Tummy Bug

Well i have not been here for a while due to numerous things, last week my little girl finally recovered i then discovered the next day it was my turn. I felt awful for 4 days i have'nt been ill for a long time and usually dont really end up catching anything.
On Friday my mum and sister came for a few days and most of the time i was ill. My sister and my brothers ex went to visit him on Sunday they hadnt seen each other in 8 years so there was alot of catching up to do.

Monday i was feeling better so we decided to go out as we were starting to feel like caged animals hahah. My mum wanted to look up a friend she used to speak to via the internet but had lost his email address but had his home address we unfortunatley arrived there to discover he had passed away 9 months before.

We went to visit my brother not too far away at his warehouse and he was telling us about his plans and things that had been sorted concerning his wedding which is to be in September.

My mum and sister went home today i think my mum is cursing me as she took my bug home with her too. Speedy recovery mum love you xxxx

Poorly Girl

My daughter is still ill, its now been 5 days bless her. She has stopped being sick and now has bad dirorreha and not really drinking much at all.
We took her to the doctors last night and he says she has a viral bug and just to keep trying to give her fluids to help her. Its awful though when your child is ill you dont know what to do for them. She has slept loads so hopefully that is helping her too.

My husband has now finished digging all the top layer of the garden off and now its ready to be dug and raked over level. We also cut the back hedge which leads onto an alley and it looks soo much neater.
I planted my seeds and plants into the pots and also added soil to some of my plants that are looking a bit sorry for themselves. I have shoots coming up from the seeds i planted a few days back im very pleased with them.

I've done all my housework today and im pretty shattered, ive just had a lovely hot bath too while reading in the bath.

Family

We arranged to pick my son and his girlfriend up today so they could come to dinner. We have'nt seen them in a while what with them being poorly and us being busy.
My son came over and chipped in with some of the gardening too, my little one is still poorly bless her.
We rang the NHS line to see if they could help us as she wasnt even drinking fluids and it was quite worrying, they suggested ice lollies which sounds simple but i just wouldnt not of thought about.
We went and bought some and it seemed to work but then she was sick again.
She seems to be a bit more settled now though.
The weather has been lovely again today like a lovely summers day, i hope we have a decent summer this year.

My hubby took my son and his girlfriend home in time to get comfortable for Lost only to discover its not on tonight for some reason. He has resorted to taking his Nitro car apart and cleaning it.

Rubbish Galore

It was Red Nose Day yesterday so my daughter had to either dress up or go with something red on and pay a £1 towards the charity. Alot of the young lads at her school she told me dressed as girls and she said how funny it was. I bet it was a sight for sore eyes hahah. My hubby went to get a part for his nitro car that he had smashed off, i was dropped off at the library for my weekly dose of books.
I had a book on order for coping with teenagers as im finding it quite hard with my daughter at the moment. She is always moaning or sulking etc and it drives me up the wall and i know i dont deal with the situation very well, so i have got some books to see about alternative options.

Today we have been hard at work in the garden i started cutting the brambles at the bottom and found alsorts of things albeit to name a few, old paint tubs,paintbrushes, corrugated sheeting,lumps of wood also even the side of a shed would you believe, you name it i think we had it.
The weather has been lovely the sun was shining and it was a bit blowy but a nice combination. My daughter even got involved today and dug up the old washing line. She is soooo going to ache tomorrow i have'nt told her that i will wait for the whinging and whinning tomorrow as i know it will happen.

My youngest daughter ML has some kind of bug i think, she has been sick a few times today and has not managed to keep anything down bless her. I was holding her and ended up with a shoulder and back full of sick at one point she has been a bit grizzly which is unlike her but i guess its from being frightened opf being sick. I hate it so i cant imagine how it must feel to a 2 yr old.

Busy Bees

Me and ML went to toddler group this morning, i usually take her every Thursday she really enjoys it. She has started mixing and playing with the other children too which im so pleased about as she tends to play on her own alot. ML has also started joining in with the singing which is another thing she does not usually join in with.

I rang my driving instructor last night to book him for my next test (number 3) and i have discovered he is away on holiday so i will now have to rebook it. I have a lesson with him on Monday that should be fun!!!

We have been doing more of the garden too, my hubby is still digging the top layer of grass off ready to level it out and then re seed it. It is quite a big job but it will look great once it is done. I have been digging the borders and getting the weeds out. Also getting the weeds from between the paving slabs.
I now ache as you can imagine so a nice hot bath after dinner will sort me out im sure, followed by getting into bed curled up with my book, sounds like heaven.

Feeling Rough

Yesterday was not a good day i felt really rough, i had a headache, like i had been out on the beer the night before. Ive had these headache for the last few mornings i have felt sick most of the day too and just lethargic really.
I had a kip in the afternoon but it didnt really make me feel any better. I ended up going to bed really early.

Today im loads better im pleased to say we have been round the shops and i have bough bulbs and more flowers for my pots i got and cant wait to make a start. Ive been reading up all on gardening really i should be an expert by now hahah.
My hubby is coming on with the garden really well so far.

Homemade

We have been busy still with this garden, we went to a supermarket that was doing bargains on alot of gardening things so i came out with a bag full of goodies. The weather has been up and down like a yo yo one minute sunshine next minute showers and high winds.

Today i made a homemade soup anyone that knows me will tell you i am NOO cook hahah, but i had seen a nice receipe in a book i had been reading for leek,onion and poatato soup. I prepared the vegetables all ready, my husband finished work at 12 today and thought he had come to the wrong house.
I did way too much soup and could probably feed the 5,000 i did double the amount thinking it would not feed 4 of us. We had it with fresh bread it was lovely.I shall be freezing some of it for my mum when she visits as she is a vegetarian.

Ive been into town today prowling the local charity shops and got my little one some lovely books she loves you to sit and read to her. I got some seeds for when the garden is ready too.

Aching

I have aches and pains galore today from digging the garden, my husband has been taking the top layer of grass off so we can put seed down, i have been digging it over ready to level and i ache.
We went over and fetched my daughter it was'nt long before she got her attitude back...dont you just love teenagers.
I actually managed to get my 2 year old some gardening gloves she will love them they will still be too big but much better than marigolds!!!!

Birds, Nuts & Worms

We have been told that the wall in the front room will now need replastering and could take upto 2 weeks for them to come back and do it. In the meantime my hubby has decided to start on the garden as the living room has come to a halt. My hubby has been removing the top layer of the lawn ready to rake over and put some grass seed down, it is going to be a long job but there is no rush.
Our little helper ML has been out helping us too in her "Dora the Explorer" wellies, i think just being outdoors for her is enough she absolutely loves it any chance she gets.

Ive discovered that the birds round here are very posh i have 3 nets full of nuts for them and they have'nt touched them and ive tried to think of ways of enticing them into the garden, now hubby is digging they are swopping in for the worms grrr. My camera will be on the alert. I have it set up and ready on the tripod i will catch them if it kills me.

We met the neighbours today too, we have seen them in passing but not actually spoken to them before. They were giving us all the info on the previous people that lived here and the neighbours round about us.

Ive been to the library and got my weekly dose of books this week i have books out on gardening, dealing with teenagers and SLR cameras that should keep me going. My older daughter JR has gone to stay at her brothers for the night so no moods or arguments tonight just peace and quiet and my books.

Blast from the past

Yesterday we went to visit a blast from the past, she lived with us as family when her dad and my mum went out together. We had'nt seen her for about 14 years it was really good to catch up, she did us lunch too and that was really nice.
We stayed there for quite a few hours catching up and reminising about the escapades her and my sister used to get up to as there is only a year between them.

Today my mum and sister have gone home, it was like they were moving house the amount of stuff they had and that was without the stuff my husband had taken to there house the previous day as he was going that way.
My mum had been meaning to use my sewing machine since she has been here but as we were gallivanting she never got chance so she has taken that home too.
Even though they are not noisy people the house seems very quiet now.

Adventures

On Sunday we went to another car boot it took us about half hour to 40 minutes to get there but was well worth it as i got some great bargains. I lost my mum and sister straightaway in the crowds as i knew i would.

We met up for tea break and exchanged what bargains we had bought.

On the journey home we seem to go round in circles for some reason, these sat navs are not all they are cracked up to be or its just me hahhaha!!!!!!

We seen the same signs about 3 times never mind we got home eventually albeit 30 minutes later than we should have, hubby went up the track for a few hours as he is into the nitro remote control cars and has a new 1 but not really had chance to test it out.

Monday we went to a local woods with cameras in tow, baby and pushchair. We got some lovely pictures my little one took her fairy wings so that was great fun. I found a few different kinds of fungi too scrabbling around in the hedges/bushes.

We stopped on the way back for chips as we were starving, little one fell asleep bless her after all the walking in the woods.

My hubby is currently in Scotland to do with work he will be back today(Tuesday) he stayed overnight so i had the whole bed to myself it was luxury but i did and do miss him.

Today is a dreary wet day so we ahve stayed in and i have done housework and not much else im afraid.

I have a lady coming to collect some beanbags i no longer want i advertised them on freecycle, the first lady let me down so i have offered them to the next person on the list hopefully they will be gone later.

Travels!!!!

My sister and mum and dog in tow arrived safely whilst we were at the supermarket getting dinner and had not even realised we had left the back door open, they thought we had done it on purpose for them but we had'nt it was just a mistake.

On Friday we decided to revisit the Edgbaston Resevoir as we had done many years ago and thought maybe it would conjure up some memories for us especially for my sister as she was only about 7/8 years. When we arrived we were very disappointed in what we found, we are sure there were more trees and the water seemed to have shrunk unless that was just beacause we have grown older.

We continued our journey onto my brothers warehouse as when my mum and sister are down they like to visit them, the warehouse is full of junk and has an air of feeling of abandonment but lots of fun to mooch around as you never know what you will find.

I treated myself to 3 large crock pots for the new to be garden for just £8 a bargain or what.

Friday night we decided to go to a car boot as i have the luxury of having a qualified driver in beside me in the daytime so i like to take advantage of driving alot. We went to Stratford boot and it was a let down there were lots of traders there. My brothers had a stall so we had a cup of tea with them. They have a helper who we like to call "Fraggle" who was on top from this morning and had us all in stitches and even got himself a laptop for £15 but found to his dismay that it had been melted on the back, it didnt really deter

him as he thinks he will make more money if it is of no use to him.

Stolen Gate!!!!

We got the paper for the walls and washed it all down ready so no lumps and bumps, only to discover the plaster is loose on the wall underneath the window and above it. It came out easily in our hands so hubby has rang the council and they wont be out now till March 5th so its all on hold again grrrr.

Today I've been filling in the smaller holes preparing it all and we have been taking off the skirting to rub it down and re paint it and put it back on once we have carpet laid.

We also drew a plan of our garden as you have seen in previous posts it is a mess, we really need to get a rotivator on it but it going to be expensive and very hard work. My husband is going to work out whether it would be worth getting a landscape gardener into do it.

We went out in the garden to have a look around there's stuff everywhere and then discovered low and behold someone has stolen our back gate!!!!!!!! I must add too that it was attached in anyway for some unknown reason, it was like this when we moved here, so now we need a new back gate too!!!

Gardening, Photography and Tantrums

Well i haven't written for a few days so i thought i'd better or you will be thinking i've abandonded my blog.

I went out yesterday afternoon, we have fields over the back of us so i went walking over there(if you knew me you would know walking and me do not go hahah) it was really quite nice the sun was shining but it was quite blowy which was quite hard because the things i wanted to take pictures of would not keep still.

We had hubby's other daughter for the day that passed quite well no arguments with my daughter which usually happens. There is only a year between them, after lunch i persuaded hubby to come for a walk we took the little one too, to run off her lunch and get some fresh air. She is soo comical we had only been walking a few minutes and she was huffing and puffing and wrapping her arms round herself saying "cold" at 2 years old she is very clever and very funny.

Today has been a busy day too, ive been out in the garden digging the borders ready to put some plants in, my hubby came home with some gardening gloves for me "he is so romantic".

I was using my gloves when my little one came back into the garden and had marigolds on about 4 times too big for her, then proceeded to pick up the weeds for me and put them in the bin. She got very angry and had a tantrum because she could not keep the gloves on but we found it hilarious bless her, she ended up stomping back into the house so im am going to be on the hunt now for a pair of gardening gloves for a 2 year old.

My husband papered all the ceiling in the living room, im so chuffed its taken us ages to get to this point and it only took him 2 hours. Tomorrow if he is back early enough then we will be getting the paper for the walls. Im so excited it will look great once it has been all done.

The other room at the moment is full of the living room bits and bobs so its a case of climbing in here if you need to use the room.

My mum and sister are coming down on Thursday for a visit, as its my birthday on Sunday so that will be nice, i also hoping to get a chance to drive my car while they are here as im still a learner my sister can sit in the passenger with me. Usually when they come down we end up going o0n alsorts of adventures and you can be sure we will be this time too.

My New Lens

These are just a few of the pictures ive taken today with my new lens, im so excited to have it at long last. Ive been buzzing since i went out over the fields at the back of us which is where i took these photos.

We drove to Gloustershire to fetch and the drive was really nice and thinking of all the pictures i was going to take.

Ha but what i did not account for was a dead battery. Oh well i do try.

The day has been glorious yet again feels like Spring/Summer rolled into one, when i went over the fields, a chap stopped me and informed me that at dusk a barn owl likes to sit around in the trees, which would be great to capture also he mentioned a buzzard that likes our area and is around alot, so i shall certainly be on the prowl for them two.

An Outcome

Well the lens saga continues i managed to get through to the company believe it or not only to be told "im sorry because its in your husbands name he has to cancel the order" grrrr, so i have someone FINALLY who can deal with my request but they cant deal with me typical. I got my husband to ring them and cancel the order and im finally done with them never again.

I have found another place that does the lens, ive rang them to see if they have any in stock and have asked them to reserve me one. I also had a few queries and this man sounds like he knows exactly what he is talking about yayy. Im fecthing it tomorrow it will take at least an hour but i will have my lovely lens at last amen.

The day ahs been gorgeous again so ive been out in the garden pottering, ive been getting all the weeds and grass from between the slabs and looks so much neater.

We are going to have to use a rotavator on the bottom half as the grass is nearly all dead and theres lumps and bumps in it too. Im not looking forward to it if im honest the garden at the bottom is quite big as you can see by the picture below.

Spring in the air

The day has been really nice almost like Spring is in the air, we went to town and got the dvd i promised my daughter "High School Musical" i am sick of seeing and hearing it around the house at the moment.

We took the little one to the park to let off some steam and stretch her legs after being in the pushchair, she loves the slide her nanny and grandad bought her one for her 2nd birthday. The swings she gives a miss as she does not like the sensation when you go forward she thinks she is going to fall.

I rang the company AGAIN about my lens for my camera and they still said "can i take your name, number and order number please and i'll get someone to give you a call back". I had a hugee rant about there service and how this was the 5th time now i had rang and been asked the same thing with no phone call in reply like they promised everytime grrr. Guess what, yes your right i still never recieved a call back again in response to my query.

All i want to do now is cancel my order is that just too much to ask one of the staff to do for me.

I shall never shop there again thats for sure, ok rant over now.

I managed to get rid of a pine chest of drawers on freecycle along with a single matteress we no longer need, i also have alot of curtains to put on but just have'nt got round to it.

Miracles

Well a miracle happened today, as i said in a previous post my husband and i are terrible about making decisions. Today we made the decision on wallpaper AND bought it how about that.

In the car on the way home was the next question " when will you be starting the ceiling then darling" he says he is going to start the weekend yayyy at last.

We collected the sun tokens for the £9.50 holidays a few weeks ago we got confirmation through recently that we have a holiday booked in Isle of Wight i cant wait my camera will be going too. I bought a swimming costume for ML it was a bargain at £2, later the same night she found the costume hanging up and decided to try it for size haha, she had put it on over her clothes she looked such a picture.

Decisions Decisions

Well Ive been debating about whether to continue this blog, i had not told anyone i was doing it to start with but i have been persuaded to carry on. I think in the long run i will enjoy doing it, its a bit nerve wracking to start off with so here goes.

The last week or so has been pretty busy, we have been filling holes in the walls in ML room now the carpet is down, i know we always end up doing things arse backwards even though we say we will do it properly every time.

Well i ordered my telephoto lens for my camera on Feb 2nd and I'm still waiting its soo frustrating, i just want to start using it NOW. I'm so impatient sometimes i want things like yesterday as many people who know me will tell you. After numerous calls to the company they have taken my name and number and have said they will get back to me and of course they haven't. I finally managed to speak to someone who knew what they were doing and from Friday 13th i now have to wait a further 7-14 days.


One of my other passions is Freecycle for people who may of not heard about it, it is a recycling group online where people can offer there things to other for free to stop them going in the landfill, all you have to do is email the person with the particular item and ask for it and then they decide and you just go and fetch it.

I have had some fantastic things from there including a bunk bed with a single bed at the top and a sofa at the bottom which converts to a double bed too, Quarry tiles, curtains, tv unit, tripod for my cam.
Its a great way of getting rid of stuff you don't want or updating your old things.
I have got rid of many things on there myself too and i have met some lovely people through it too.


We have decided we really must push on with the decorating it has come to a halt and been like that for about 4 weeks now. We have to decide what kind of paper we are going to use for the living room but if you knew my husband and i, we are not good at decision making it is just sooo hard. We will start our search for wallpaper this week sometime hopefully.

We had visitors on Thursday namely my mum and sister, my mum had been visiting some friends in Inverness, her flight had been delayed 8 hours,she couldnt fly to Manchester so ended up flying to Birmingham airport instead which is nearer to us. They arrived a mum smelling of incense sticks, a desperate dog wanted to strectch his legs and a frazzled sister who had been at the sirport since about 8am. They stayed the night then continued there journey home on Friday back to North Wales.


We have had some lovely weather so i have been doing gardening just mainly weeding and ML has wanted to help also even though i brought her bike out for her to play. I ended up getting her bucket and spade from the shed and so she helped weeding, along with finding worms and a frog much to her delight, her face was a picture. I also managed to get JR off the sofa too, to lend a helping hand which was a nice change so it was a real family affair doing the garden.

Rainy Days

We moved into our house at the beginning of November, we have been slowly trying to decorate it but with christmas and kids birthdays it has been a bit hard. We are now getting back on track with it and the living room has been stripped of the awful blue striped wallpaper.

Today we went and had a look round Ikea it always gives me ideas of things i would like to do in the house. I got some metal shelves i have been wanting for my kitchen we measured up AFTER we got home and found they are not going to fit arhhhhhh. Oh well cant say i didnt try hahaha.

I have been dying to get out with my camera again but with the weather i dont want to wreck my camera, so i will just have to be more patient. My daughter was not too happy either to discover her school WAS open again thinking she might get an extra day off.

The weather cant decide what to do it has rained all day and now it is snowing quite alot.
